Plans & billing
Understand active-contributor billing, review who counts as billable, exclude bot accounts, and manage your subscription.
TrimCI prices by people, not by seats or repositories: paid plans bill per active contributor — someone who actually triggered a pipeline in the last 30 days. Every organization starts with a 14-day Business-equivalent trial, no card required, and afterwards continues on the Free plan. Nothing is ever deleted when a plan changes; limits only narrow.

Know what an active contributor is
A billable contributor is a distinct human who triggered at least one pipeline run on a tracked repository in the rolling last 30 days, counted per provider username. Bots and system triggers are excluded automatically, and members who only view dashboards are never billed. A paid subscription always bills at least one contributor.

Open the plan card
As an owner or admin, open Settings and find the "Plan & billing" card. It shows your current plan badge and the active-contributor count, and — on a paid plan — the price per contributor (excluding VAT), the renewal date, and the billed quantity.

Review billable contributors
The "Billable contributors" card on the same page lists every counted person with their runs and last activity. Use "Exclude from billable count" to drop an actor who should not count, and "Count as billable again" to bring one back — the change applies immediately.

Upgrade through Paddle checkout
Press "Compare plans & upgrade" to reach the "Choose a plan" page, then "Upgrade to Team" or "Upgrade to Business". Checkout opens in a Paddle overlay: the quantity is computed by TrimCI and cannot be edited there, prices exclude VAT (tax is added by location; business buyers can enter a VAT ID for reverse charge), and the quantity is trued up automatically before every renewal.

Manage, switch, or cancel
On a paid plan the card gains "Manage billing" — a Paddle billing portal for invoices, payment methods, and cancellation — and "Change plan" to switch between Team and Business with a price preview. Upgrades charge the prorated difference immediately; downgrades are credited on the next invoice. If you cancel, you keep every feature until the end of the paid period.

If a payment fails
A failed renewal marks the plan past due, but you keep your paid limits for a 7-day grace window while Paddle retries the card — use "Update payment method" on the plan card to settle it. Only after grace do limits drop to Free levels, and they restore the moment payment recovers. Data stays safe and sync never stops.
What each plan includes
Free: a 7-day history window, 1 PDF report per day, 5 AI recommendations per month, daily sync, and up to 2 active repositories. Around 3 active contributors you'll see an upgrade nudge — a soft threshold, never a lockout.
Team ($9/contributor/month, excluding VAT): a 30-day history window, 10 PDF reports per day, 50 AI recommendations per month, hourly sync, and unlimited members and repositories.
Business ($19/contributor/month, excluding VAT): a 60-day history window, unlimited PDF reports, 150 AI recommendations per month, hourly sync, and automatic failure-spike detection. Before your first checkout and before each renewal, glance at the Billable contributors card. Bots are filtered out automatically, but an external drive-by contributor to an open-source repository still counts until you exclude them — one click on the settings page.
Dropping to Free never deletes anything. The history window simply clamps to the Free range, and when a paid plan ends — after a cancellation or an expired grace window — repositories beyond the 2-repo cap are paused rather than removed. All history and settings return instantly when you upgrade again.
